The holiday season can be a busy and stressful time for everyone, where our calendars are filled with events and must-do tasks of both the invited and the obligatory variety. It's easy, amidst the choas of this time of year, to forget exactly what — or Who — Christmas is all about.
We at Providence Baptist Church would like to encourage you to set aside time for worship this holiday season, and we invite you to join us on Christmas Eve, December 24, at 6:00pm for precisely that purpose. That evening, we'll celebrate together the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with a time of musical worship and the partaking of the Lord's Supper (Communion). Come dressed as you are or as you wish, whether your evening schedule is wide open or you're squeezing some corporate worship in between Christmas parties. Most of all, come ready to experience God and worship Him freely.
In addition to the worship service, we'll be simultaneously hosting a baby shower for the GATE Pregnancy Resource Center. Donations of baby items will be collected that evening, and will be used to help local pregnant mothers meet their babies needs. This year, GATE has a particular need for the following items:
- baby wipes
- diapers (size 4, 5, and 6’s only, please)
- bath towels
- girls/boys long-sleeved onesies
- burp cloths
- receiving blankets
- quart- and gallon-sized Ziploc bags
- gift cards
- outfit hangers (those that hold pants and shirts together on one hanger)
