Love. Intercession. Fellowship. Teaching.
The church isn't a building. The Church is a body with Jesus Christ as its head — a body that lives, breathes, moves, works, plays, shares, learns, hurts, and so on. In the Fall of 2020, in-person social interactions are just beginning to cautiously resume in the wake of a near-total societal shutdown due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. And as we emerge from our homes, we're finding that perhaps now more so than ever, we need some things we've been missing. We need to love and be loved. We need prayerful intercession on each other's behalves. We need fellowship with others. We need a deeper knowledge of God and His Word. We need a LIFT.
LIFT, Wednesdays at 6:00pm
On Wednesday evenings, we offer programming called LIFT – a midweek lift for your social, emotional, and spiritual lives. At 6:00pm, the campus will open for outdoor tailgating in the parking areas. If you are able to do so, bring dinner (from home or the takeout option of your choice), set up some camp/lawn chairs for your family, and share a meal and distanced fellowship with other families. But even if you are unable to participate in the tailgating function, stick around for age-appropriate events from 6:30pm to 7:30pm:
- Preschool- and School-aged Kids will meet in the Family Life Center for biblical instruction, games, and crafts. Facemasks are required. Also, temperatures will be checked at the door, with a reading of less than 100°F required for entry.
- Middle- and High-school Youth will meet in the Sanctuary for teaching, games, and break-out groups. As with the younger children, facemasks are required for all participants and a temperature reading of less than 100°F required for entry.
- Adults will enjoy a variety of outdoor interactions, including short devotional teaching, social and prayer walks, etc. as weather permits. Make sure you bring your lawn/camping chairs!
