BLAST Preschool Ministry
While young children are always welcome in our worship services, Providence has a thriving preschool ministry, staffed by loving volunteers who are dedicated to your child's safety and security. Nurseries are located in new sanctuary, just outside of the worship area (which also features a pair of cry rooms available to nursing mothers) and the preschool rooms located in the Perkins Building. You can access the check-in area through our cafe.
Child Safety and Security
Providence Baptist Church takes the safety and security of children very seriously. All workers in our children's and preschool ministry areas must undergo a background check. Furthermore, we use a secure computer check-in system to ensure the safety of our children.
Preschool Weekly Schedule
Grow Group — Sunday 9:00am in the Perkins Building
Preschoolers (one year olds thorugh Pre-K) learn about God's love for them through a time of bible stories, crafts and activities.
Preschool Worship — Sunday 10:30am in the Perkins Building
Worship hour begins with free play as children arrive. Preschoolers gather as a group for a time of music and a Bible lesson. Preschoolers experience special learning opportunities during the lesson time such as puppets, skits and special guests. Worship closes with children returning to class to participate in a game or activity to reinforce the lesson.
Nursery Care — Sunday 9:00am in the Main Building.
In addition to being snuggled and cared for, your little one will experience basic Bible truths, playtime, music and simple object lessons. We have two nurseries to meet the developmental needs of growing infants.
Preschool Missions — Wednesday 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the Perkins Building.
Missions begins with a time of songs, a mission story, a craft and concludes with a time of play to develop the preschoolers understanding of sharing about God's love.
Want to Get Involved?
BLAST Preschool Ministry relies on God to teach and care for our preschoolers through volunteers from our church body. Christ taught his disciples to do what they knew best, and above else, to trust in him. From feeding the multitudes to rowing across a lake, when we do our part and trust in God, he works through us and ultimately grows our faith. You needn't have some special set of skills in order to positively impact the children in our church — merely a love for young souls and faith that God can and will supply what you need to serve in this capacity. Please contact Jennifer Pyne email@example.com for information on how to start the volunteer process.
